Palm Beach Eco Scan is just one of the life saving tools that we use here at Medical Diagnostic Scans to diagnose our patients. An Eco scan may be conducted for a variety of reasons. It could be conducted to check how well your heart is functioning following a heart attack, or it can be used to measure how well the valves inside your heart are moving. Additionally, an echo-cardiogram can allow you to see any fluid that may have collected around the heart. These measures are taken with an image from an ultrasound/sonar, which is done by placing the probe over the heart and showing the size, shape and motion of the heart. Typically, our findings lead to a diagnosis, or even a better understanding of what may have been causing you pain or discomfort.
In order to conduct a Palm Beach Eco Scan, our team is led by board certified doctor, Dr. N. Henry Pevsner, who is well versed in everything surrounding the heart. The procedure is relatively painless, with exception of being injected with a small needle in your vein. The patient will lie on the table throughout the duration of the exam; which lasts 20 to 40 minutes. There are a host of diagnosis that can come from an Eco scan, and our job is to determine what disease or disorder you have that has been causing your pain and discomfort. Our staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and are prepared to answer any questions, or respond to any concerns that you may have regarding your procedure. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, and be at ease with everything we will be doing. Give us a call today for more information.
